How to choose a forex broker

Start with safety, then look at costs and tools. Check that the broker is regulated by a recognised authority, then find the license in the regulator's own public register. Compare the full cost of trading: spread plus commission plus swap. Test the platform on a demo account, then try a small deposit and a small withdrawal before you add more money.

Red flags

  • Promises of guaranteed profit
  • Pressure to deposit more money
  • Large bonuses with hard withdrawal conditions
  • No clear company address or license
